Another week has passed and we have a few more members to add to the Cróga Crew. If you get the chance to meet KC, Kristi, Joe M, Lily or Natassia, please welcome them and make them feel at home.
Yesterday was a big day for many of you. You had your first opportunity to really put the 3 different presses (shoulder press, push press & push jerk) into action and see what kind of weight you are capable of putting over your head. You set your press benchmarks!
To some it was a bit scary at first, but just like almost every other WOD over these first 5 weeks, I saw a lot of our athletes really focus on their technique and make HUGE improvements over the course of the workout.
I was pleased to see that everyone was keeping track of the weights they were lifting and if you haven’t put them on BTWB, please do so (photos of results are at the bottom of this post). This will be very important because we’ll have an accurate account of what we’re capable of for future workouts with these movements and also to see our progress over time.
Now a month-plus into CrossFit, most of you have set a whole stack of benchmarks (presses, squats, oly lifts) and over the next month or two we are going to be re-testing most of the movements. Please continue to track your results and let us know when you set a PR (personal record).
We will be keeping track of these PR’s and will celebrate them at the end of each month.
