Sun 9/21/14:
The 20th was Kelly’s birthday, so I rested on Friday & Saturday because we were busy with family and friends. Body felt good on Sunday morning when it was time to train.

This was an ok training session, not terrible, but not great. We had a class going during some of it, so I wasn’t as focused as I would normally be.

A. Power Clean x1 + Hang Squat Clean x2 – 5 moderate sets of the complex; rest as needed
These went well, no real problem. Wasn’t sure what moderate was supposed to feel like so I just went 205-215-225-225-225. Videos are below:

B. 3″” Deficit Deadlift – build to tough single; rest as needed
This went extremely well. I really had no clue what I would be able to get, but I just kept adding weight until I got to a tough one. I went 345-365-385-405-425. I thought 425 was a pretty good “tough single” especially considering my 1RM regular DL is only 445. Next time we test that it might actually change, haha, I guess we’ll find out. Videos are below:

This one did not go well at all. My forearms completely locked up on me after round 2 and I was helpless, I just had to wait until they worked again before I could pick up the bar each round. I did the first 2 rounds in about 2:05 and my final time was 9:51, which is not good at all. I think grip and forearm muscle endurance is something we need to work on because this was a poor showing.
