Still playing catch up on the blogs. I promise I’ll get ahead of it next week.

A. Shoulder Press – 5 x 3 @ tough triple from Aug-22; rest as needed
This went well, I think I went a little too heavy last week and after I did the first set at 175 I didn’t think I could make the other 4 sets, so I went down to 170 lbs. These were hard, but I got them. Videos below:

B. 4″ Deficit Strict HSPU – 6 x AMRAP UB; rest 1:45
These went well, even better than the week before. That’s encouraging since there was a slightly shorter rest. Videos below:

C. Bar Muscle-up clusters – 3 x 3.3.3; rest as needed b/t clusters + 3min b/t sets
I wrote this down at 5×3.3.3, so I did 2 extra rounds. These were difficult, but mainly because I haven’t done very many. I just need to get a grip on the technique. As they went along they seemed to get easier. Videos below:

This went really well. The run was easy as expected, I hammered out the HSPUs and I rowed a sub-4 1k, which isn’t too bad for me after all that other work. Time was 10:22. Video below:
