Through our first five years of business at Cróga CrossFit we’ve tried a handful of different ways to get athletes started. Along the way we’ve learned that a personalized couple of hours with the same fun and friendly coach that you can count on throughout your time at Cróga is the best way to teach our future athletes what they need to know and to make them comfortable before they jump into our group classes.
For these reasons, we’ve come up with what we think is the most thorough Start-Up program that still honors the incoming athlete’s time.
If you are new to CrossFit or have limited exposure to the barbell and gymnastics movements we regularly use in class, you will be REQUIRED to complete our Start-Up program before joining our group classes. Our two options for Start-Up are as follows:
In the intro classes we go over all the movements you’ll need to be successful in CrossFit, general information about CrossFit and the methodology, mobility tips unique to our assessment of where you are tight or could use some work on flexibility to be safe and successful, our basic nutritional advice and finally, by having the same coach for all three hours you’ll have a trusted resource to go back to throughout your time at Cróga.
Once you’ve completed the Start-Up classes we get you going in our group classes that we offer morning, mid-morning, and evening on weekdays and mornings on weekends.
