This past Saturday, Kelly and I drove up to the Sonoma County Fairgrounds in Santa Rosa to attend the NorCal Regional for The CrossFit Games. It was a beautiful day and we were very excited to see some amazing performances and also to catch up with friends. This event consisted of the top 48 men, top 48 women and top 30 teams in Northern California battling it out for 3 invitations to the finals in Carson, CA in late July.

As expected the athletes were absolutely incredible! They were bigger, faster and stronger than any year previous.

The crowd was unbelievable, there were more people in attendance at the regional this weekend than the 2008, 2009 and 2010 CrossFit Games combined!

The vendor village was bigger than ever before with more apparel, food, supplements and equipment to check out, try, and purchase than you could ever imagine.

And, the community was, as expected, OUTSTANDING! There were more boxes represented than ever before, the support shown for the different teams/athletes was never ending, and we saw a ton of old friends and made a lot of new ones.

We hope you all can join us at some local competitions this summer to get a taste of what a CrossFit event is like and keep us in the loop if you hear of one you think would be good for our athletes or yourself to compete in.
