The Moment of Commitment

This week brings another blog post inspired by a quote I stumbled upon yesterday.

“At the moment of commitment, the Universe conspires to assist you.” – Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Think about it for a minute…

Keep thinking…

A little more…

Has anything ever happened for you by sitting back and just waiting? It hasn’t for me.

Have you ever reached a goal or accomplished a task by just thinking about it, but not acting on your thoughts/plans? I sure as hell haven’t.

Have you ever wanted something, not gone for it, and then thought about it later and wished you had? I have definitely done this.

No matter what you think about doing, want to be doigo-for-itng, or wish you could do, it’s not going to happen by sitting on your ass.

But the beautiful thing about the universe that we live in is that often times pieces just start to fall in to place once you get the ball rolling.

When you put yourself out there and make a goal known (lose 10 lbs, do your first pull-up, squat 400 lbs, eat healthier, stretch), you will find that people who can help you get there will gravitate toward you.

As you start looking for the knowledge or the help to get to the place you’ve committed yourself to being in the future, it will all begin to lay itself out in front of you.

So, take the next step.

Let go of the urge to hesitate.

“Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. Begin it now.” – Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
