Coach PJ started with us in October of 2015 and since day one, he has been a huge asset to Cróga as both a coach and as a member of our community. His energy, enthusiasm and dedication to every one of our athletes is what sets him apart from your average coach.

Funniest or coolest Nickname?
Hmm, kids in school called me P-Hay. I haven’t heard that in years, so the most recent is Pajamas haha. New nick names are more than welcome.
If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?
If I were to be any animal, I have always said I would like to be a bird. I know that’s not super “manly”, but I figured I could go where ever I wanted and live in some of the best spots in the world. Also, those birds stamina is on point if you think about it.
What’s the last thing you watched on TV?
Literally the last thing I watched was sports center and it was NCAA Men’s Basketball Oregon vs UCLA, with the game winning shot at the end by Oregon. The last shows I watched were all the Christmas movies from the Hallmark Channel and honestly I don’t remember any of the movies names. For some reason when it’s the holiday season, I can watch horrible acting on the Hallmark channel, must be the holiday spirit.
What is the one food that you could never give up?
Coffee. One of the best all around nutritious meals you could ever have. I add Organic heavy whipping cream (protein) and Organic brown sugar (carbs/sugar) to my coffee. Notice how it says “Organic”. It means it’s good for you right?
What did you want to be when you grew-up?
I always said I was going to be professional basketball player until I was about 14 years old and everyone laughed at me. Well I proved them right haha. Now when I grow up, I just want to be half as strong as “The David Musgrave”.
Favorite quote or saying?

Anything else you’d like to share with us?
One thing I would like to share with everyone is something that I tell the members in my class. I try to remind everyone who comes in sore or with a tight backs, shoulders, etc., that they are here and that they are doing better than thousands of other people in the world. It is OK to scale back if something doesn’t feel right, just focus on form and speed. Completely take out movements if they hurt, your coach is there for a reason, take advantage of them. I would rather you be able to come back tomorrow and the next day and forever, than hurt yourself today by going too heavy and not having proper form on movements or pushing injuries and be out indefinitely. Work on form and speed and stay healthy so you can come back the next day and hang out with me 🙂
