Slept great and felt really good this morning. I tweaked my right knee (the one that has been surgically repaired) yesterday during one of the 255 lb squat clean misses, and I’ve got some tightness that feels like swelling, but nothing that you can really see when I look at both knees next to each other. The knee just feels a little tight when I squat and in the very bottom of the squat there is some minor pain at the back of the knee/top of the calf. Not really sure what it is, but I’ll ice it and hopefully it’ll feel better tomorrow.
Active Recovery – 90min (Z1/Mobility)
Was planning on rowing instead of running because of the knee, but Kelly’s car broke down at her office (about 30 minutes north of here) so I had to go up there and try and deal with the car during my break and won’t have time on my own. My plan is to do some minor rowing during a couple classes warm ups and do mobility with them. I’m hoping that rolling my quads and hamstrings and flossing my knee will help a little.
I’ll let you know if I can’t hit the split jerks tomorrow. I put my right knee forward for that movement and it feels stable today so I don’t think it’ll be a problem, but we’ll see.
