Didn’t sleep so well on Saturday or Sunday and felt a little tired on Monday. Not sure what caused the poor sleep, I got to bed early enough to get enough sleep, it just wasn’t good sleep.
I just wasn’t feeling 100% and I could feel it in my legs. I fatigued much sooner than I expected, but I remained focused and just pushed through.
A. Front Squat – 5 perfect reps @ 185-205# on the min for 6min
These went well, no trouble. 3 sets at 185 & 3 sets at 205. Video below.
30 Pull-ups (30)
30 Thrusters @ 95# (30)
20 CTB (7-7-6, this was a grip issue)
20 Thrusters @ 135# (10-5-1-4, I brought the bar down a little forward and that’s what caused the 1 rep instead of a set of 5)
10 Muscle-ups (4-3-2-1)
10 Thrusters @ 155# (5-5)
The thrusters were harder than expected. As I said above, my legs fatigued sooner than I expected, maybe from the poor sleep + the heavy front squats before this, but I thought I’d do a little better than I did on the thrusters. My time ended up being 10:19. The way I broke up the reps is above in parentheses. Video below.
AMRAP Wallball in remaining time
x3 sets @ 80-90-100% effort
This went pretty well. I think I did a good job rowing at 80-90-100%, but I didn’t do so well keeping the correct pace on the WB’s. I had to slow myself down during the 80%, I hit too many unbroken right off the bat. As I started to row harder I had trouble getting as many wall balls on rounds 2 & 3. My scores ended up being 45, 46 & 47. Videos are below.
