Slept a solid 10 hours on Friday night and was feeling really good in the morning.
Great training session. Got some serious work in with some good results, gave it my all.
A. Hng Squat Clean – build to tough double; rest as needed
These were good. After watching the video, I probably could’ve kept the bar a little closer, but I felt good. I made an extra 10 lbs from last weeks triple 275 this week for 2, 265 last week for 3. I also made a single at 285, but it was rough standing it up so I didn’t go for the second rep.
B. 1&1/4 Front Squat – 5 x 4-5, build (use final load from “A” across); rest as needed
These were good, I got all 5 reps on all sets at 225. Videos below.
C. RDL @3030 tempo – 5 x 5; rest 2min (mod-heavy load)
I did these at 225 as well, I think I could’ve gone heavier now that I’m more comfortable with this movement, hardest part is keeping the tempo. Videos below
D. TTB – 20 UB reps for time; rest 2min x4 sets
These went well, but I wasn’t able to make all the sets UB with only 2 min rest. I got the first 2 sets UB, the 3rd set was 17 and singles and then the final set was 10-3-2-1-2-1-1. Times in seconds were 30-30-44-66.
