It was one of my best friends birthdays last night, so I was out kind of late and only got 4 to 5 hours of sleep last night, which I know isn’t good. Got an hour nap today and will get a ton of sleep tonight to hopefully make up for it.
Despite the lack of sleep I was able to fire it up and get the work done. Great session here, with a guy from Hignell’s gym who grew up in San Jose and was down here to see family.
A. Hng Squat Clean – build to tough single; rest as needed
You know how this went, I got a PR at 305, which was awesome. Tried for 315 twice and barely missed both, I think if I can catch that I can stand it up. I went 225, 225, 265, 275, 285, 295, 305, then missed 315 twice. Videos below.

B. 1&1/4 Front Squat – 5 x 3-4, build (use final load from “A” across); rest as needed
These were very difficult, I tried to use as heavy as possible that I could get 3 reps on. I know you said use the weight from A, but 275 was HARD, there is no way I was going to get 305 for a triple. Videos are below.
C. Clean Pull – 3,3,3; rest 3min (110% clean 1RM across)
No real trouble here, I did them at 325, just trying to get used to lifting this much and giving it some momentum. Videos are below.
D. TTB – 20 UB reps for time; rest 2min x4 sets
*repeat D with goal of hitting 20 UB each round
