Got a lot of sleep the night before, I think 8 hours and felt good in the morning. Body was a little tired after the long week, but still functioning properly. Got to do the workout in my garage for the first time, which was pretty fun.
A. Power Clean x1 + Hng Squat Clean x2 + Push Jerk x2 – 6 moderate sets of the complex; rest as needed (don’t go above 225…technique more important than load)
This went pretty well. I was feeling a little tired from the whole week and this could’ve definitely gone better, but I did my best and just tried to give it my all. Videos below:
B. HB Back Squat – 5 x 3; rest 2:30 (heavier, explode)
This was good, but my legs didn’t feel 100%. I made lifts at 275, 295, 315, 1 rep at 335 and a final 3 reps at 315 again. Videos below:
Set 4(335 – 1 rep):
Sled Push – max distance in 45sec w/ 225# added; rest to full-recovery x5
This was terrible. We don’t have a sled that we can push, so we had to used a sled we could pull. We did the first round with 225 lbs added to the sled, but we both ended up walking pretty slowly about 15-20 seconds in, so we decided to take it down 90 lbs for the remaining 4 rounds. This kept us running for more than half of the time. The distances and videos are below:
Round 5(265′): No Video
My buddy that was running the camera accidentally switched it to photo mode instead of video and so I got 1 picture of the last round instead of a video. It was pretty much the same as #4 though.
