DWM Sat 8/1/15

Sat 8/1/15:
I went to a baseball game the night before and didn’t get to bed until after midnight. Not really the best idea for a great training day the next day, but sometimes you gotta live a little. I was kind of tired, but I made it work. Still a little fatigue in the back from that crazy muscle-up, pull up and HSPU WOD, but not too much, should be good by Monday.

CJ/Snatch Tech Work – 20min (light/moderate loads)
This was good, I worked on my snatch since I was going to be doing a ton of them in the EMOMs. Been working on getting my chest higher in the set-up and just cleaning up the bar path. I got better as I went through the EMOMs and started to really lock it in again during the squat snatches. It’s been awhile since I snatched a lot, this was fun.
EMOM for 20min
Odd – 1.1.1 Power Snatch @ 155#
Even – 4-5 UB Muscle-ups
No trouble, I got all the power snatches and did 5 MUs UB each round. Video below.

EMOM for 20min
Odd – 1.1.1 Squat Snatch @ 175#
Even – 5 BBJ @ 24″
No trouble here either, did a couple power snatches on accident, but I got better as I went, which made my happy. Video below.

AD/Run – 20min @ EN1/EN2
Went for a 20 minute run because the weather was beautiful. I felt good during and after.
