Felt good this morning. Went to the chiropractor today and she worked on my lower back, my thoracic & my right wrist. My wrist has been bothering me for a week or so. We determined that it’s some major tightness in my forearm. I’m going to spend some more time working on it.
A. Squat Clean x1 + Front Squat x4 – 1 set of the complex every 90sec for 6 sets @ 225-245#
Completed 2 sets at 225, 2 sets at 235 & 2 sets at 245. The squats got a little heavy, but not terrible. My collar bone has been taking a beating lately, so this didn’t feel so great, but I pushed through it.
B. Clean Grip RDL @3111 tempo – 4 x 5-6; rest 2min (heavy, use straps)
I’ve never done these before, so this was a learning experience. I now know why you said “use straps”. I don’t own any, so I just hook gripped the deadlift and it seemed to work pretty well. I will get some straps for next time. I completed sets at 225, 275, 295 & 315.
C. Push Press x3 + Split Jerk x3 – 5 sets of the complex; rest 3min (heavy)
Got to 215 this week, I think I could’ve made 225, but I’ve got to get there sooner in the 5 sets. I missed the last rep at 215, but I am sure I can make them. I completed sets at 165, 185, 195, 205 & 5 reps at 215.
D. HS Walk – Accumulate 200ft in perfect body-line
This was hands down the furthest I’ve ever tried to handstand walk. I did really well at the beginning, but as my shoulders tired, I crumbled. I definitely need practice here.
