Woke up feeling good, got 9.5 hours of sleep last night, which was awesome! Wrist is still progressing, still some minor pain in extension and external rotation.
This didn’t end up being a very good training session. I think I ate too big of a breakfast too close to when I trained because after the muscle-ups I felt like I was going to throw up the remainder of the workout. I think the ICE inside of the intervals was great, but I felt so terrible in the gut after each one that it was hard to convince myself to keep going and do the next one.
A. Muscle-up – 3-4 UB reps on the min for 6-8min (get these in a groove, feeling good)
These were great. I never had any trouble and went unbroken throughout. Considering I haven’t done any MUs since I hurt my wrist, this is pretty damn good. Video below.
5 Burpee Box Jumps @ 24″
These went really well during, but during the rest periods I was just trying not to puke. My stomach felt extremely full and heavy. Because of this I only ended up doing 4 rounds. My times were 1:17, 1:16, 1:21 & 1:15. Rower turned off before I hopped on during round 3, so I lost a bunch of time waiting for it to turn on. Videos below:
Row – 4-6min @ 80-85% effort (145-165 BPM)
Once again, I did a good job during these, but as soon as they were over and I was just resting I felt very sick to my stomach. I only did 2 repeats instead of 4-5 because I honestly thought I was going to puke.
I guess the good news is that I’m writing this on Wednesday morning and I’m not feeling sick at all, so hopefully it was just eating too much too close to training and not a bug or anything.
