Slept a solid 8 hours the night before and was pumped for the 1RM Squat Clean. Calves were really tight after the box jumps on Monday & running on Tuesday, but I’ll get over it.

A. Squat Clean – build to 1RM; rest as needed
This was fantastic, as you know I made a 20# PR for a 1RM of 295 lbs. I tried for 300 twice and barely missed both times, I know I can make it next time. The way I got to 295 was 135-165-185-205-225-245-265-275-285-295. Videos below:

B. Squat Clean – 5min AMRAP @ 205#
I totally got distracted after the huge PR and then having a class go on around me. I still turned in a pretty good result, but I think I could squeeze in another 5 reps or so with better ICE. My total was 29 reps. Video below:

This result should’ve been much better, but it was Christmas Eve and I needed to get out of the gym and headed home so I only had about 60-90 minutes rest between my AM session and my PM session. The time was 6:52, which is a 5 second PR, but that’s not that impressive. I think fresh, or even with more rest I can go sub-6. Video below:
