Slept well last night and felt good this morning. Shoulders were a little fatigued today, but no major soreness to report.

Split Time – 26:01 (18:36)
200 Double-unders (buy-out) Split Time – 30:02 (4:01)
This was one of the hardest WODs I’ve ever done, but I enjoyed the challenge and it brought on a bunch of different feelings throughout that I had to manage. The row went well and I tried to go quickly, but not set a PR. I rowed at a very consistent pace of about 1:50 the whole way with the second 1,000 closer to 1:52/1:53.
When I got to the snatch I was breathing really hard and had a pretty high heart rate. The first snatch didn’t feel so good and I missed the second rep. From there the remaining 13 reps were all over the place, I never really felt comfortable, but I was making it work.
The burpee muscle ups were never really a big issue, but the burpee part was causing more of a problem for me than I expected. I just tried to keep a somewhat consistent pace and not slack to hard here.
I recovered pretty well during the first 10 BMUs and the set of 10 snatches felt much better. With a lower heart rate I was able to focus more on what I was looking to do in terms of form and was thinking about what Fu had taught me. This set came a lot easier, but was still hard.
The next set of 10 BMUs sucked, but I made it through without ever really stopping.
The last 5 snatches were super easy and I finally felt like my form was good and I was hitting my “corners” better, which was shooting the bar up for an easy catch.
The final 10 BMUs were about the same as the middle 10.
Finally, the 200 DUs went really well, a lot better than I expected after how they dominated me on Saturday. I broke them into sets and rested as needed, only missing 2 or 3 along the way. I don’t think 4:01 is fast for 200 DUs, but after all the other shit, I will take it.
