Congestion got worse again this day, but my body felt fine and my head felt fine, so I decided to train.
A. Snatch Pull x1 + Hang Snatch Pull x1 – 5 sets of the complex; rest 3min (heavy across, use straps)
This was pretty good. I went 255-275-275-275-275. Catching the first pull and then doing the hang pull was harder than expected, but I got better throughout the sets. Videos below.
B. 2-Pause Halting Snatch DL – 4 x 2; rest 3min (heavier, NO straps)
These were hard, but I guess that means I need the work. I went 275-275-305-305. Videos below.
C. Partner Floor GH Raise – 4 x 5-6; rest as needed
I tried these with Kelly holding my legs on the first set and it just didn’t work very well, so I tried to imitate the same movement on the GHD instead. Not much to report here, they felt good and I could feel my hamstrings really working. Videos below.
D. Chinese Plank (face-down) – 5 x 30sec; rest 30sec
*create as much compression as possible
These were good, I took your max compression to heart and it made these much more difficult. Video below.
