A few weekends ago, Gabe and Diana took part in The ALS Association’s Napa Valley Ride to Defeat ALS. Not only were they Getting Out There and using their fitness to have some fun in an absolutely beautiful part of Northern California, but they were also helping to raise money for a wonderful charity.
Gabe and Diana completed a 27 mile bike ride that starts in Yountville, CA (just north of Napa), heads up toward St. Helena, makes a loop down to Napa and then finishes again in Yountville.
From the look of the pictures it was a beautiful day in the Napa Valley and Gabe and Diana both said that they intend to participate in the ride again next year.
We are proud to not only see these two using their increased level of fitness to enjoy a long ride in a beautiful place, but also to see that they participated in such an outstanding event for charity and had a ton of fun doing it.
The Ride to Defeat ALS has been a HUGE success since it’s inception and this year The ALS Association had a goal to raise $400,000 and they crushed that by raising $539,557. Although the race has been completed, if you are still interested in donating, you can do so here:
If any of you have a charity event that you plan on participating in, please let us know! We would love to spread the word within our community and get involved.
