This past weekend our member, Steve Soto, and a group of buddies went on an awesome backcountry single track dirt bike trip around Lake Tahoe. They rode 170 miles out of Foresthill, CA into what could easily be described as the middle of nowhere, not using any trails. They camped for the night and then rode all the way around the lake and back to Foresthill the next day. They spent about 90% of their time using a roll chart on the handle bars of their bikes to navigate and even spent some time on 6-8,000 foot cliff trails where 1 wrong move and you fall of the side and most likely lose your bike.
This trip was a huge test of physical fitness and mental toughness. Below are a couple other photos that Steve sent me:
